Home Shirts 2004 -
  1. 2013 Home Shirt
This shirt is quite striking with its abstract white line across the top of the shirt. It is a nice shirt but it is shame that shirts with little touches such as little club badges and tags are not viable when buying templates from large kit manufacturers.

  2. 2012 Home Shirt
More of the same simple design from adidas. The side trim is white but there is really little difference between last seasons shirt. This was a crazy season, the major shareholder backed out and looked for a seller. Matt Ritchie was sold for a ridiculously low fee and Di Canio quit. Yet we still almost got to the Play Off final after going the distance with clear favourites Brentford.

  3. 2011Home Shirt
This is the simplest of the Adidas shirts being all red with just white trim on the collar and sleeves. Of course this shirt has happy memories for Town fans as it was worn in Di Canio's first season at the club when everything seemed rosy and we were the Barcelona of League 2. Another trip to Wembley (another loss) but Champions of League 2!

  4. 2010 Home Shirt
Another asymmetrical shirt but the all white sleeve just looks wrong on this design. Still a really nice shirt but unfortunately worn in a season of downward decline back into League 2.

  5. 2009 Home Shirt
This is the first of Adidas' six home shirts for Town. It used an older template that had previously been used by among others Newcastle and Liverpool on away shirts. I like that its simple but slightly abstract at the same time, I'm a big fan of asymmetry in design. In football terms this was one of our best in years getting all the way to the Play Off Final against Millwall, where we lost 1-0. If only that ball hadn't bobbled in front of Austin! Oh yeah we didn't actually wear Red either which is a sore point still for many fans.

  6. 2008 Home Shirt
So after the awful 07 shirt the 08 shirt was the first shirt in a few years I actually liked the look of. The Lotto template was simple but smart and best of all the Kingswood Group sponsor had gone. Now FourFourTwo was the sponsor. This shirt I think started a mini-renaissance for Swindon shirts that was picked up by Adidas the following season.

  7. 2007 Home Shirt
This is a shirt voted by fans as worst ever on the 'Washbag' website. I have since decided the DGI shirt was worse but this is a close second. The sponsor logo was apparently dusted on with icing sugar as one wash and it started to disappear. I never wore the one I bought but even through contact to air over 8 years it is disappearing! How is that possible? Over designed template worn by teams that failed to deliver in the 2006 World Cup, Ukraine and Serbia/Montenegro.

  8. 2006 Home Shirt
So I did buy this because it was a kind of 'end of an era' shirt. Last 'Diamond' badge and last Nationwide sponsor. For some reason there was green trim back on this shirt even though it had not been on a kit since 1997-99 season. It also had a 125 Years tribute embroidery and we had something to celebrate. Promotion on the last day of the season along with Walsall who were at the County Ground. Surreal match where everybody who left the ground was happy!

  9. 2005 Home Shirt
I've kind of forgotten this shirt existed. Lonsdale has a very 'Sports Direct' bargain brand feel to it and I think for the first time I didn't buy a shirt (even when they were a tenner at the end of the season). Oh it was a crap season as well, more relegation back to League 2.
